How to brew tea correctly?

It is impossible to enjoy tea if it is not properly brewed. It’s not that hard to do. The main thing is to follow some rules. Let’s talk about tea in general and figure out how to brew tea properly.

The basis for tea is water. The quality of the resulting drink directly depends on the quality of the water. In ancient China, water for tea was taken from a mountain spring, and in Vietnam, rain was used for this purpose. To make tea delicious, use soft and clean water. It is better to defend chlorinated water first, and ideally pass it through water purification filters.

Experts recommend brewing tea in a faience or porcelain teapot. Metal utensils are not suitable for these purposes, as they spoil the taste. You need to brew the drink in a warm and dry kettle.

Rinse the teapot with boiling water to warm it up before brewing, and wipe dry with a towel. Herbs are brewed in a separate kettle. Do not use the same utensils for herbs and teas, incl. different varieties.

There is no consensus on the amount of tea leaves to be poured into the kettle. Focus on your tastes or the following proportions:

To brew black tea:

1 teaspoon per 1-2 cups of water.
To brew green tea:

2 teaspoons per 1-2 cups of water.

Pour tea leaves into the teapot, fill with boiling water, close the teapot and cover it with a napkin. Make sure the lid and spout of the teapot are covered so that the aroma of the tea is better retained.

Do not wrap the teapot too tightly, as the tea will start to rot and lose some of its taste.
