Lentil Stew – A Delicious Healthy Protein Recipe

It is not necessary to give up meat at all in order to maintain shape and not swim in fat. Try the lentil stew for a simple and affordable recipe. It’s not only tasty, but also contains a lot of healthy protein.

1 cup dry lentils;
1.5 cups chicken broth;
200 gr. peeled tomatoes;
1 cup peeled potatoes;
1/2 cup chopped carrots;
1/2 cup chopped onion;
Chopped celery 1/2 cup;
1 tablespoon dried parsley;
1 tablespoon dried basil (crushed)
Grated garlic 1 clove;

Cooking method
Wash and dry the lentils.
In a pot of chicken broth, add: lentils, diced chicken breast, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, celery, parsley, basil, garlic; salt and pepper to taste.
Boil for 45-50 minutes, stirring regularly, until the lentils, meat and vegetables are tender.
You can also use other lean meats and broth instead of chicken.
